Tulkinnanvaraista presents Wolfgang Rihm's masterful early String Trio from 1976. This work reaches out towards the expressivity of Alban Berg and quotes Beethoven's string quartet Op. 131. The fragmented texture and the ambiguous silences also bring to mind the poetry of Friedrich Hölderlin and the music of Luigi Nono, whose quartet Fragmente–Stille, an Diotima was performed by the same musicians in 2015.

We wish to present our music in an inclusive manner to all who are interested. Therefore Tulkinnanvaraista extends its regular visiting program to Tampere, where we perform at Rajatila Gallery.
