Tulkinnanvaraista brings to the old capital a selection of historical and more recent experimental music. The philosophies of Marxist thinker Christopher Caudwell and King Solomon are presented in hyper-virtuosic works by the manns Lachen and Zimmer. The recent works of Juho Laitinen reach out towards the hazy dreamlands that cannot be outlined by means of articulation. The solo by Alvin Lucier acts as a sonar to outline the dimensions and resonant characteristics of the cello and the surrounding space.
